Bundeskunsthalle Bonn – a formal exercise on a tree, structures and black & white.
When you follow my work here on this website, you have certainly realized that I am going into the mood of classical black and white portraiture. When I saw the first images of Marie, I had immediately some images in my mind I wanted to realize. I was delighted that she accepted. You see here an extract of a result that is IMHO very classical with a portrait that has no time. Even with the modern black top does not perturb this feeling.
For the techies I like to share that it is my Fujifilm X-T1 with the XF 56mm 1.2 at F11. I mainly worked with one 120cm octogone mounted with a grid. The soft light is wrapping nicely around her and the shadows are controlled with a large white panel on the left.
